Institute for Individualized Medicine: Estrogen Metabolism Breast Cancer Study. Join Now

Please see the REFERENCES area of this website for the university studies.

The Institute for Individualized Medicine began to study the relationship between SNPs on CYP1B1, COMT, GSTM when combined with HRT or IVF in 2003. The study is conducted on an 'at cost' basis.

There are currently 125 women in the study.

22 WOMEN with BREAST CANCER - 0 RECURRENCE

There are 22 women with breast cancer in the study. 81% have SNPs on CYP1B1 and COMT(V158m). GSTM1(1p13.3) is absent in 82%. All 22 women have had significant exposure to HRT or IVF.

None of the women have suffered a recurrence. Supplements used to alter the pathways include DHEA, DIM-PRO, SAM-E, Glutathione, NAC, Milk Thistle and Vitamins E & C.

For cancer patients, these strategies are not a substitute for traditional cancer treatment but are an additional treatment measure to reduce reccurance risk.

Since he began treating breast cancer patients in this manner, none of his patients have had a reccurance.

103 WOMEN WITHOUT BREAST CANCER - 0 DEVELOPED BREAST CANCER

There are 103 women without breast cancer. 91% have SNPs on CYP1B1. 73% have SNPs on COMT. GSTM1is absent in 59%. 60% of these women have had exposure to HRT or IVF.

As of January 2011, no 0 out of the 103 had developed breast cancer after following the protocols to alter DNA pathways through outlines supplementation.

Research Funding is Required to continue to study these women and examine more women with breast cancer.

More detail about the study is available upon request.
